15-Day Luxury Wildlife Safari

A classical and luxurious wildlife safari using some of the best camps and homesteads in Kenya combined with the highlights of Tanzania. The emphasis is on luxury and game-viewing quality. Flights are included where necessary to ease the journey.

Day 1
From Nairobi, transfer to Loldia House, nestling under acacia and wild fig trees on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Loldia is surrounded by lawns which are grazed at night by hippos. The area abounds with colorful birdlife. At Loldia a maximum of 14 guests are accommodated and great pride is taken in their personalized service and excellent cuisine. Day 2
Many activities are available including witnessing one of the great spectacles of Africa: the flamingo lakes of Nakuru, Elementaita and Bogoria. Lake Nakuru also offers excellent viewing of the black and white rhinos. Perhaps enjoy a served, sit-down lunch on the shores of Lake Nakuru, with millions of flamingoes in the background. Also horseback riding and birdwalks take place on the farm, and visits to the hotsprings of nearby Hell's Gate can be arranged. Dinner and overnight at Loldia House. (FB)

Day 3

Day 4
Transfer to connect with charter flight to the Maasai Mara and drive to Little Governor's Camp. Africa aficionados consider Little Governor's Camp, with its unique setting around a large watering hole which teems with game, to be one of Africa's top safari camps. It follows a tradition of excellent service, cordon bleu cuisine and comfortable accommodation all under canvas, reminiscent of the famous Hemingway's Safaris of bygone years. Little Governor's has seventeen double tents, from which there is an uninterrupted view of the game which comes down to drink and bathe in the water. This is a favorite spot for elephants. Day 5
Game-viewing in the early morning, mid-morning and afternoon. Game-drives are not limited by mealtimes, which are flexible. Optional Hot Air Balloon Safaris depart from Little Governor's Camp at dawn each morning (contact us for current prices), offering a unique dimension for viewing game. Day 6

Day 7
Transfer to Musiara Airstrip for flight back to Nairobi, and, then, on to the famous and historic Norfolk Hotel for overnight. (FB)


Day 8
Transfer to connect with flight to Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania. After lunch, drive to Kirurumu Tented Lodge, for dinner and overnight. (FB)

Day 9
Take an optional ethno-botanical walk, then, after breakfast, drive down the Great Rift Valley escarpment for a full day's game viewing in Lake Manyara National Park. Dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Tented Lodge. (FB)

Day 10
After breakfast, depart for the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Afternoon game drives in the crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (FB)

Day 11
Full day of game viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (FB)

Day 12
Game-drive to the Serengeti, the last great stronghold of Africa's wildlife. Dinner and overnight at a private campsite located for optimum game viewing depending upon the season. A safari crew is on hand to anticipate your every need. The evening is a wonderful respite from the day's game-tracking activities. Sipping sundowners while your hot shower is being prepared readies you for the 5-course meal served in the dining tent. After dinner, relax beneath the star-filled African night by the embers of the camp fire. These camps capture the romance and style of a bygone era and will linger in the memory long after you conclude your African adventure. (FB)

Day 13
Full day game-viewing in the Serengeti. Overnight private campsite. (FB)

Day 14
After breakfast, fly to Arusha. Transfer to the Dik Dik Hotel for dinner and overnight. (FB)

Day 15
After a relaxing morning at the Dik Dik, depart after lunch to Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight to Nairobi. Connect with international return flight. (BL)
